There are 2 main parts to filing a claim! First is telling us that you had an accident, and second is uploading the medical bills and documents associated with that accident.
Heads Up: Our policies are backed by our partners at Mutual of Omaha, Liberty Mutual, Pan American Life, and AIG so you will likely also receive communication directly from them.
Got hurt? Here is what’s next.
Let us know you’ve been injured. You can do so by logging into your Spot account and starting a claim, and don’t worry if you haven't received any bills yet you can still get started. Once you’ve begun, a member of our team will reach out to you to go over all the details.
A typical Spot policy requires you to:
- Seek initial treatment within 30 days of the incident.
- Login to your Spot account and let us know you’ve been hurt as well as upload your initial bills within 90 days of the incident
*Timelines may vary by policy. Please review your Spot policy for more details.
For the most timely review of your claim. We highly encourage you to include Spot as either primary or secondary insurance coverage when you seek treatment. If you have primary, it is important that your medical provider knows about Spot as well. You can find all the details you need inside of your Spot account under “My policies” or by contacting us to get a copy of your policy
Good to Know:
Once you notify us of your accident and upload all relevant medical bills and documents to your account, our partners will review your claim. When a claim is approved, you will receive a letter in the mail letting you know and you or your provider(s), depending on your claim, will receive a check in the mail for the charges approved from your claim.
Due to the unique nature of each claim and treatment plan, we are unable to give specifics on how long the claims and reimbursement processes will take.
